How are you, Jane? It's Nora. I hope you are fine. I'm in Saint-Petersburg with my parents now. I have recently returned from my trip. It was great. And after returning the first thing I wanted to do was to leave you a message to tell you all about my trip. My destination was Veliky Novgorod which is much smaller than Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod or Kazan. My trip lasted for one week. It is one of the oldest cities in Russia. It was first mentioned in the 9th century. It is around 180 km south of Saint-Petersburg and about 524 km north-west of Moscow. You can get there by train, bus or car. Even by plane. I travelled by train because it was the most comfortable way. Once I arrived at the railway station I saw breathtaking landscapes of the Volkhov river. But I was greatly impressed by historical sights. The city has may tourist attractions. The Kremlin, ancient churches, monasteries, museums, etc. First of all, I visited the Novgorod Kremlin which is the oldest surviving Kremlin in Russia. Though the city is not big I couldn't see all the major sights. I really want to visit the city again.
