Welcome to the sports centre "Sport for you". It is situated in Green Street not far from the park. It is open again from next week. There’s a gym, a swimming pool and some sports clubs. There are three football teams – one for girls and two for boys. There is a football competition every month both for boys and girls. You can also play tennis. There are also six tennis courts. They’re free from Monday to Friday, but it costs 200 roubles an hour to play tennis on Saturday and Sunday. Every year there are three tennis competitions. The next competition is in June. There is a large new swimming pool where we organise four swimming competitions every year. On weekdays the swimming pool is open from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. but it is closed at lunch time from 1 to 2 p.m. At weekends it is open all day. It is closed in summer

And after returning the first thing I wanted to do was to leave you a message to tell you all about my trip. My destination was Veliky Novgorod which is much smaller than Saint-Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod or Kazan. My trip lasted for one week. It is one of the oldest cities in Russia. It was first mentioned in the 9th century. It is around 180 km south of Saint-Petersburg and about 524 km north-west of Moscow. You can get there by train, bus or car. Even by plane. I travelled by train because it was the most comfortable way. Once I arrived at the railway station I saw breathtaking landscapes of the Volkhov river. But I was greatly impressed by historical sights. The city has may tourist attractions. The Kremlin, ancient churches, monasteries, museums, etc. First of all, I visited the Novgorod Kremlin which is the oldest surviving Kremlin in Russia. Though the city is not big I couldn't see all the major sights. I really want to visit the city again.

It is located twenty-four kilometers North of the city, near the village of Khrabrovo. The flight from Moscow is about 2 hours 40 minutes long. You have written to me that you will leave at 10 a.m. You will arrive at about quarter to one p.m. I'm going to tell you what we are going to do in Kaliningrad. On Tuesday we will walk around the city and see some old buildings and the fish village. On Wednesday we will visit the Museum of the World Ocean where we will learn about marine fauna and flora. There is also a collection of boats from different countries. On Thursday we'll go to Kaliningrad zoo which is one of the oldest zoological gardens in Russia and one of the largest. There are about 3500 animals in it. On Friday we will visit Fort Five where you will find a network of tunnels under the surface of the ground and surviving rooms. You will learn what happened in this region during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. I hope, your trip will be unforgettable.
